weak points and rev limit of 87 350
i have a 350 that came out of an 87 truck i'm going to build and put in my camaro. its a 2 bolt and i'm going to have it balanced. what are the weak points? like what would go first? i'l probably get new ARP "High Performance" rod bolts and maybe main studs or at least new main bolts.
also, how high could i rev it safely?

Rod bolts are the first weak point; then the crank; then the rods. The valve train will likely run out of steam before it reaches a speed where anything else is endangered.
6000-6200 is about as far as you should take it with any kind of regularity. You could go farther of course, but the chances of having to sweep your motor back up off the pavement will increase accordingly.
