hey guys, i just got this car last week. now it made it all the way home to boston from NH. then it died on me while was showing on of my friends.
we replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and rebuilt the carb. still the same thing. it'll fire sometimes when its cold, but never after being run. we pulled the number 1 plug and it was covered in oil and gas. we are thinking the rings are gone. any of you guys got any ideas of what may be causing this?

EDIT: i went out about an hour ago and the car fired right up. ilet if run for a few min, then shut it off and tried again, and it worked again. i left it idleing for about 15 min then shut it off, and this time it wouldnt fire. i'm thinking its an ignition module problem, but i dont knwo enough about these types of setups to be sure.
