Rod and hanger q's....

Just needed an opinion on which ones to use... i know i played with an extra set i got by bending it, and filing the rods, and it made a world of difference... Basically, i have a carb spacer, the air valve door opens almost 90*, and the exhuast is fully done, ever since i did the air cvlve mod, i have a but of bogging.... when i played with the rods and hangers, most of this went away... any suggestions as to which rods and hangers to try and use??? thanx-

If it bogs when they open, try tightening up the air valve spring slightly, like 1/8 turn at a time. If the spring is too loose the valve will just flop open when it should open gradualy in response to the engine's demand for air, which will create a lean condition at the moment you stomp on it.

yes this i know- i have adjusted it, to a point, but i know someone had a similiar setup as me and it was something like a h hanger and ar rods??? i dunno, need seggestions here..

86 Firebird, LG4, t-tops, 2.73 open rear, SLP 3 inch cat back exhaust, catco cat, 1inch carb spacer.

Current Plans: 342 posi disk 10 bolt rear, rebuilt/fixed up tranny with a trans go shift kit, vette servo, and some other goodies...,cowl induction hood, lowering springs, sfc, and new formula wheels, and tires.
