what is a good multiangle valve job price?

Okay I found a machine shop that will put a multiangle valve job on my heads for $150.00. That is also smoothing the valve seat lip down on the short side radius of the port to help low lift flow. He also puts a 29 degree back cut on the valves.

These heads have a fresh 3 angle job on them. I took these to him to put screw in studs and guide plates on.

Should I shell out $150.00 for this? I'm trying to achieve 12 second 1/4's. Here is what my motor will consist of.

350
Air Gap for Vortecs
Vortec heads
comp XE-268 K-kit
10.9 compression
Heddman headers
Accell distributor and super coil
Holley 750
1.6 roller rockers
700r4 w/2800 stall
3.73 auburn posi

That's a reasonable price, if you trust the machinist. There's no substitute for the time it takes to do the job, and somebody that's good at it won't be cheap. That price would equl 2½-3 hours at typical higher-end shop (not yerbasic budget slap-it-through-the-door type) rates, which is about the right amount of time for that job.

Thanks RB. I'll probably go ahead and let them do it then.
