anyone useing rtv sealent around water jackets on head gasket?

i had a head gasket start leaking by one of the water jackets im getting ready to put new gaskets on should i use rtv or no?

as a rule you don't need sealer between two machined surfaces. i believe i break most of these same rules. when i do a head gasket i use k&w copper sealer in a spray can and have never had a leak. i think i'd be checking for warpage before i put it back together. if you find nothing i might try soem permatex rtv ultracopper on the block and head where it leaked, but very little.
