Just screw the heads and cam until you get more money. Spend what you have now on headers y pipe, cat-back, and cowl hood or some other air induction setup than that.
If you do the cam and heads without the exhaust you will have a large restriction that wiill make you see little gains.
From what I have read on this site the main restriction are exhaust mainfolds, exhaust itself, cam, air induction, and gears.

(ME Leigh- you said I have to admit that $359 bucks for a set of heads is a pretty good deal. That is if your not looking for a performance increase, just a new replacement head.)
ME Leigh just because you think that upgrading valve springs is the same as what aerohead does to there products doesnt make it the truth man ..obviously you havent built many engines in the past or something..but bigger valves always helps in performance over a set of stock valves anyday ...lol....but im not gonna argue with the college know it all.....ive built plenty of engines in my time so far and have always gained performance from a set of 2.02 1.60 valves .....i dont know what your thinking?????
anyway dont listen to half of what you read on here some of the guys really know there stuff and the others are just talkin out there a**...and they only want you to listen to there opinoin and all i gotta say about that is build what you wanna build dont build and buy what others "say" is the best cause about anything you buy out there is gonna be a decent part

Re: Powerhouse 383 stroker kit?
has anyone ever heard of Powerhouse? they make engine kits among other things. here is their site: http://www.enginekits.com/catalog.pdf
they have a 383 stroker kit (2 pc seal) for $669 that i was looking at.
it includes:
Powerhouse flat top stroker pistons
Pro Street style rings
Pro Street cr1 5.7 connecting rods
main and rod bearings
full gasket set
new balancer
new flexplate
*balanced*
what do you guys think? is this kit any good and does this kit work with a stock L98 (carb'd)?
