grommets for valve covers

I know this is a stupid question, but I am hoping someone might help me. After taking my Moroso valve covers off to have them powdercoated, I failed to note which side gets the grommet with the open bottom and which one gets the longer grommet with the slit in the bottom. I have the L98 and it probably does not matter or does it? Stupid me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am talking about the grommets that hold the pcv valve on the driver's side and the breather on the passenger side.
