Okie, quick question about ignition...

How does an aftermarket ignition box help performance? MSD for instance, thanks.

Msd stands for multiple spark discharge. That fires many sparks per firing at low engine temps. That is supposed to help fuel milage during cruise conditions.

A normal system also gets weaker spark as rpm's increase due to the shorter dwell times. The boxes increase the dwell time to produce a hotter spark at the higher rpm range.
