vortec heads with a non vortec manifold?

Axle/Gears: bg3.27
vortec heads with a non vortec manifold?
is this possible. I heard that it was possible to just ovalize the bolt holes on the intake so it can fit the vortec heads, but others say its impossible. does anyone know i would appretiat it a lot

the intake would have to have some tall ports. i know for sure that a lt1 intake will not work with vortech heads because thier intake ports are taller

Take a look at how many bolt holes are on a vortec head and then look at you manifold and see if it will work (besides the obvious port mismatch).
Elongating the bolt holes on a pre 87 intake with work with post 87 heads (2nd gen sbc).
