I have a 5.7 TPI and when I drove it home the other day when I turned down my stereo I noticed a knocking. It doesnt seem to be constant always there but varying on loudness. I also noticed it sounded like it was coming from the bottom side toward the front of the engine. Then I noticed it looked like the harmonic balancer was wobbling a little bit. All bolts are tight but if this ring was starting to slip into the time chain cover would it cause a knock? Let me know what you think. Thanks in Advanced

 

it could happen if the dampner or ring was hitting on something, but that isn't really knock
