Selling my car- what should I ask in terms of price?
Due to being in college, I have to sell my ride. Can someone please help me out- I need to have an idea of what is reasonable for the price of my car.
It is a 1984 Z28. White ext, blue int. It has T-tops. Interior is old and aged, but not irreparable. The body of the car is fair, but has a couple of areas that are damaged. The drivers side fender is damaged on the front, and the paint is faded.
The motor is a 350 with slight modifications. It has an Aluminum Edelbrock intake, an Edelbrock carb, Comp. Cam, headers, and flowmasters. It is not emissions legal as it sits now.
The tires are old, and are on American Racing Rims. The hood is a cowl hood, unpainted.
The car runs well. It needs love in several areas, and I know that I must consider this fact. The transmission is a B&M TH400, which was recently built. Both the engine and tranny have under 1000 miles since being rebuilt.
I hope that I have been specific enough. What should I ask for? What price is reasonable? What can I expect to get? Thanks. Sorry for my questions, they must seem obtuse. I have been looking at classifieds, Auto trader.com, Kelly Blue Book values, etc. Be that as it may, I still don't know what my car is worth. Thanks for your insights.
