Power loss after its warmed up... HELP!

My 92 L98 runs great until it get warm (about a second or two), and then a light tapping noise emmits. Was wondering if one of the sensors might be bad to cause the power loss and if anyone knows what the tapping noise is. Thanks

How many miles on the car? Did the SES (service engine soon) light come on right before the loss in power? Did you notice any smoke?

Could be engine knock.. What's your timing set at?
