Anyone use the Hot cam in a 305?

I was just wandering how well the LT4 Hot Cam would work in a 305. I have a roller 305 block in my TA, and was thinking of adding a chip, Vette heads, SLP runners, and an Edelbrock baseplate to what I've already done. Do you think this cam would work. My Dyno2000 estimates 330hp.

The HOT Cam is too big for most 350s, mine included, I wouldn't dream of putting it in a 305. I would look into the smaller SLP cam sold in Summit, my friend uses that in his 89 IROC along with cat-back, chip and 3.73s and he's running like a high 14s.

I sort of agree, to use the LT4 HOT cam in a 350 you need a pretty good package already. I think I will, seeing that it's the same thing that GM did to get 430 HP! Maybe with my .030 overbore, and Zero-Gap rings, I can get 450 HP!

Working on:
'84 Z28 LG4 305 with 200,000 original miles!
Added dual elec fans.
145 MPH IROC Speedo
Building 430 HP 350 (ZZ430)
using primarily GMPP parts.
Short block sitting on a stand.

Starting to look like the Kicker poster child!
