Question about PCV and breathers (Ede?)

I got a nice set of Pro Action valve covers with no holes for eith PCV or breather, I know I need a PCV so I made a hole and will run the PCV with a 3/8 line feeding it. Do I have to cut a hole in the other cover for a breather? Do I have to run a breather if I run the PCV?

Thanks
Dave

you don't need PVC and a breather. all else being eqaul i'd run a PVC and not a breather. you might have to use a breather so you have a fill point for oil.

That sounds great. I've been running the PCV in the past to the vaccum reference linked at the back of the carb which tee's off also to my power brake booster. Is this the correct spot?
I never had a problem in the past, but I read somewhere it has to get filtered air, they said nothing about vaccum. The aircleaner I'm running has no provisions for pcv hose.

Thanks again
Dave

PCV vents the opne head. Do i need to run some sort of venting on the other head like a breather or a second pcv?

wouldn't hurt but not sure it'd help either. it's all venting from the same place.

I see. I guess when the pressure becomes positive inside the block it's gonna be the same on both side, considering all of the oil galley's and such.
I see circle track cars runing 2 breathers on one side and nothing on the other. I guess we'll find out.

The PCV pulls out vented gases via a vacuum, the breather allows air in to circulate, you shoudl have PCV on one side and a breather on the other for proper circulation. It is possible to run without either but it isn't recommended.
