I sent Ed an e-mail about what kind of chip I need for my car and just some Q/A's. I left for work and when I got home last night he had responded to my e-mail. I had another question for him so I another e-mail and when I got up and checked my e-mail he had responded again. D*** That's what I call "Customer Service"! When I ordered my K&N filter it was 3days before got a response from the idiots I ordered it from. And the same thing with my Dell computer. If their chips are anything like their Customer Service H**l I'm going to do more than just buy a chip from them I'm going to try to buy stock! :-)

Don't you just love it when a company actually thanks you for dropping your hard earned cash on them?
I recently bought a Stall Convertor from Precision Ind. Just yesterday I received a thank you card in the mail saying Thank you for your business.
I can't say enough about how helpful they were. Now I can't wait to get it put in.
Okay I'm done!

Ed Wright is very responsive and also has quick turn around when you send him your chip. The programming is excellent also.

I sent Ed a couple of emails last week about some of the problems I was having with my truck. He responded to everyone of them, and gave me a few other ideas, and examples of what he had done on the same setup on other trucks! Was quite impressed and I had not even spent any money for any of his stuff yet, but he's sure to get my business in the future.

I had fastchip custom-burn me a prom a few months ago, and the service was great! They got all the specs on my mods, then asked, "what rpm do you want the car to idle at?" Also at my request they programmed the fan to come on sooner, and fixed my little problem with my cam tripping the SES for code 32. And my chip showed up two days later!! So far it works great, although I haven't gotten a chance to take it to the track yet. But Ed Wright's got my vote. The webpage is:

Yea I haven't decided to get the chip yet but I have no doubt that if I do it will be without a doubt a fastchip. Did anyone notice a difference with a setup similar to mine with a Stage 2 Fastchip? I'm trying to decide to either get the chip or something else. But I'm really leaning towards the chip.

It was $365 for my custom burned chip.
That's shipping and tax. But the good part is that he'll reburn it for me for $150. That means when I finally get the new engine setup I want, I won't have to pay as much for my custom prom.

I STILL lean towards burning my own (there is just SO MUCH MORE that you can do).
But if you don't want to learn how to do it, Ed is definitely one of the better chips out there. I've seen his "code" and it's pretty good. Way better than Jet, ADS or Hypertech. Those are a complete rip-off.

How hard is it to burn a chip or should I just go to the Board? I went in there once and was intimidated by all the lingo used in there. I know a computer like the back of my hand but when it comes to all that voltage and stuff it seems overwhelming. Like where do I start? I don't have a clue and it seems like something I'd like to learn but, well I'm making excuses. I think you get my point.
I just figured it would be easier to buy one than fry my ECM. Any thoughts?

Click on the "PROM" Board and click on Tim's article on the top of the page on the "PROM" Board. You can't miss it.
It is actually quite easy to make physical changes. As for the PROPER change, that takes time and experimentation.
But Editor's like TunerCat makes it very simple to physically alter parameters within the BIN (which you initially read of your eprom), and then you just re-write it back onto the eprom with a Prom Programmer (or burner).
If you have SD, there is a newer prom called a 29C256 that doesn't even need to be erased. It's all handled electrically.
But just go to the PROM board and click on Tim's article that is underlined. And start reading.

Thank You Glenn91L98GTA. I'll hold my breath and check out.

Ed is a hard working guy who really knows the meaning of good customer service. I am very pleased with my Fastchip and refer him whenever I can.
