Getting her off all fours?

Hey all, I need to pull all 4 tires off my car. I'll be putting her up on jack stands, but never jacked all 4 corners at once. Any tips? Any funky noises/creaking that might occur? The car has SFCs...if that makes a difference with your tips. I have jacked the rear and the front end, just not all 4 at the same time. Thanks a bunch!

You can get the car off of all fours with ease. Just place your jack under the rear pumkin and lift the two rears. The put the jack under the front k member to get the front two off the ground.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Guess I just needed some reinforcement from the board...

Why jack the rear first? Wouldn't it be better to do the front first to reduce the chance of it rolling, or is there a reason to do the rear first.

thats another reason the floor jack has wheels on it ...so it can move with the car!!!..Blocking the wheels helps too.

It doesn't matter which way you do it. I usualy do the rear first if the car is not lowered. That way I am sure to get the jeck under the front nose without it hitting the GFX. On my car the front end is pretty low so I jack that up first. It doesn't really matter.

Yep, I'll have to jack the front first. A jack will not slide under the front if rear is jacked.
