How do I check my tranny fluid?? HELP. What mark mean it's full??

Ok i know how to check my tranny fluid. well sorta. I know to drive it around to get the tranny warms and check while the engine is idling...BUT

I don't know which mark means full on the tranny dipstick. is it the top of the checkered space or where the folds on the dipstick are?

sorry for the dumb question...

The checkered space is "normal" at operating temp.

The top of that space is full and the bottom of that space is 1 pint low.
