NEW TO THE FORUM FIRST QUESTION
hi guys i guess i'll start off by introducing myself my name is david im from chicago il i dont have an f-body if you guys havent noticed already by the name i have a b-body 92 caprice love them chevys i'm in the impala ss forum i get alot of good info from but not on 305's so my first question is about my 305 what cam should i put in to get maximum power out of it i've been told a LT1 cam is the one to use but what year.thanks for the help and info

If you want to know how well the 305 responds to the LT1 cam, check with New87. He installed a used-but-nice cam from one of my LT1s in his 305 'F' car with pretty good results. At last report, the car was running very well, but he now has some traction and tire wear issues....
You might consider installing a Comp cam in your 'B' as opposed to a GMPP cam. There are a few more selections that the GMPP or OEM parts allow, and your heavy 'B' car could use more low-end torque than a 1,000 pound lighter 'F' car.

I have heard alot of good things about the Comp XE262H.
I will Be putting this Cam In My Car In several Weeks, If You are willing to wait that Long I can tell you how it works out
