Assembly lube and Smoke?

I just got my RS back together .. it has a 350 bored .060 over .. I used a white assembly lube for engines for the pistons. I had the heads done and everything is new. The engine has a blue smok out the exhaust sometimes. Usually at low RPMS. I only have about 40 miles on the engine. I'm 16 so i'm new to engine building. Thanks

Sometimes a new engine may burn a bit of oil until the rings seat completely. Have you followed any procedure or advice for proper engine break in??

new engines tend to smoke so that's not unusual. you should of used 30w oil on the pistons and rings not assembly lube.

yeah i have to vary my speeds for the first 1000 miles and not jump on it. I was told to use an assembly lube because the engine would be sitting for a month before it went in the car. I figured the smoke was normal. It just that i spent a lot of money on it and want to be positive i didn't mess anything up. By the way I'm 16 and built the WHOLE motor with little help from my dad. It has been a great experience. Now we have to work on the 55 chevy
