How do i remove the ignition lock?

I need to know how to remove the igntion lock from the automatic shifter. I have the steering column dropped and the entire dash out and I can't see a way to get this thing off. I'm putting a manual in, so I don't think I need this anymore right?

Are you referring to the PARK/LOCK control cable that runs from the shifter to the steering column.
