I'm rebuilding my 350 TPI in my 87 Trans Am and this is what I'm going with but got board tonight and just started thinking if there is anything else I will need to make this combo work, Any ideas on how it will run? It's a 350 TPI with a 5-spd, posi rear with 3.73 gears, I will have on it ported 3-angle valve job cast iron L98 heads with screw in studs and dual springs to handle lift up to .600, LT4 Hot Camshaft specs duration 218/228 lift .525/.525, 1.6 roller tip rockers, Accel Intake, Ported stock plenum, Ported out SLP runners, Hooker Headers, Dyno-Max cat back exhaust system, 52mm Edelbrock Throttle Body, Holley AFPR, 24# SVO injectors, 160 degree T-Stat, 8mm Taylor Wires, MSD Coil, and a custom chip to what I have. What I would like from this car is to run under 9.0 seconds in the 1/8 mile track (No 1/4 mile track near me) Will this set up get me there? The only other thing I can think of Is I will still have the stock Air Induction System, I'm thinking of adding the SLP kit to it, I would rather find someone that has one that they want to sell if I can't Would it be worth getting the new one from SLP? you should go faster than that with those parts and proper tuning, assuming you have a good clutch and traction.
