Starting problem
I have an 84 Z28 that is giving me fits. It is a carb 305 V8. Sometimes it wont start for lack of spark. Found out that the positive cable to the starter was touching exhaust manifold and burnt throught it. Replaced that and it still wont start sometimes. When I take a spark plug out and touch it to the engine it will start. Last time I had my son do this (it's his car) he said he got shocked several times holding the plug to the engine. He had to let go of the plug. I am at a loss here. Any suggestions? It only does this once in a while. Sometimes it will start after sitting only a few minutes and other times it needs a few hours. Thanks for your help.

i'd have the module tested, or just replace it.
