recurring DTCs 24 & 34
This has happened about three times over the past three or four weeks, but it doesnt seem normal so I thought I'd look to see if anyone knows whats going on.
For some reason, it actually seems to happen on this one road, too. WHenever it has happened, it comes up on the highway during a drive home from the gym. about midway between starting and end point, the engine light comes on and the car loses almost all its acceleration. It stays like that until I turn the car off, and if I keep it off for about 10 minutes and turn it back on, the light is gone. Seems to lose the codes if I turn the car off and make the fan run for like three minutes, but I'm not sure if that makes much difference.
Anyway, I checked the codes before starting again. It's throwing 24 and 34, the VSS and MAF, both at the same time
Just wondering if anyone knows what can cause this. I'm not too worried about it as its not too frequent, but I'd like to know if its a potential problem.
Thanks.

Check out the DIY board or do a search for "False Code" and you will see that the '85 ECM sometimes throws a false code 34. I'm not sure if this is the problem you are having. It keeps happening to me though.
