You did remember to pull off the metal top thing with the pulltab?
Also sometimes they will get airlocked and it will take a while before the grease comes out

it sounds like you have the cartrige loaded in it right? the pull tab is off right? if you said yes to both you have air in it. there's a bleeded screw on the top of it somewhere. open it very slowly and let the air out. have some rags close by.

I have the silver tab off and it only loads in 1 way. Do i push the plunger looking thing in all the way or do i just push it in as i go? i have wasted 2 tubes of mobil 1 greese.

Look on the end of the grease gun that has the hose attached. Generally there's a screw (plug) there. Unscrew it carefully and let the air purge out of the end of the gun.

It might just be the problem is really simple, just keep pumping (thats what I had to do on my dads gun that hadn't been used in ages). I don't think it had a purge for air locked inside, so I just kept pumping and pumping and eventually she blew her load.

If there's no bleeder on it, just unscrew the top a few turns.

The drive shaft joints are probably sealed and don't require lubing.

i had them replaced when my tranny blew and bent my yoke. Are the cheaper ones the one with zerk fittings? When i worked at AZ the ones with a zerk were allot cheaper then ones without the zerk.

Might be less expensive to make, but I don't think quality is an issue...but I'm really not sure.

I've only replaced using Spicer.

Back to the grease tube: Which end of the gun did you remove to put in the new tube? You should remove the pump head and put the tube in from that end.

I've had plungers that didn't want to feed into the grease tube. Had to remove the plunger end, carefully feed the plunger into the cardboard tube, and reinstall.

You should push the rod back up after you get the tube installed properly. The built-in spring provides the feed pressure on the grease to the pump.
