Alt Belt Thrown again and again.

The alternator belt was in the wrong slot off of the crank pulley, but was caught quickly.

The belt keeps jumping off, is that because it's twisted now?

yea, you need to get a new belt but get a good one. I got mine from NAPA and it hassen't thrown it once. I used to have the same prob. One you throw them once, it is pretty much over.

That's what I kinda figured, but was hoping that there was some magic trick, so I didn't have to go to town.

Thanks

check the alignment of the pulleys with a straight edge and check for missing or loose bolts on all the parts the belt powers.

A new belt is on, and it works fine now. I don't think that there is anything loose, I just put it all on after a cam swap.
