Cant get new Motor and Carb to Drive correctly
Hi,
I just swapped my 305 TBI system, for a new 350 and carborator.
I cant get it to drive correctly, it stalls, and when I hit the gas hard, it drives like a loud scooter lol.
I got more power out of my beat up 305 engine. I've tried asking the dealers but they dont want to help me.
What could be my problem. My engine has every Mod in the book. Rocker Arms, Roller Cams, Performer Heads, Headers, Performance Intake, and a 600 seriese street avenger carb.
I have a fuel Pump installed, and its still slow.
Please Help. I was told it might be that the carb isnt recognized by the computer.
Please Help

Accel makes nice vacuum advance distributors. You can find them on Jegs and Summit for a pretty good price.
Here's an example. You just need to decide if you want one with the coil in the cap or one with an external coil.

Those cords connect into the distributor itself.
I just replied to your PM.
If your still running the stock distributor thats definetly your problem.
I am running a proform HEI distributor...its similar to the one in that link. You HAVE TO have one of those.
You also need a 3 port fuel pressure regulator to regulate the pressure down to 5-7psi instead of 12-14psi that the stock pump pushes. Fix that and it should peel out like you want it. Even with those 18's or whatever that is (if that isnt photoshopped.)
