i did compression test becouse my 83 z28 was blowing blue smoke when i drive it its after getting bad here are results #1-{120] {140} {150} {155} {160}
#2-{125} {130} {140] {140} {150}
#3-{125} {140} {145} {150} {150}
#4-{120} {160} {165} {165} {170}
#5-{120} {145} {160} {165} {165}
#6-{120} {145} {150} {155} {160}
#7-{125} {145} {150} {150} {150}
#8-{130} {145} [155} {155} [155} and i have oil coming up on #2 plug so do you think its the rings i cranked engine 5 times for the 5 readings someone told me to do leakdown test i dont know what that is im not good with cars.but do them #'s look good i have 115000 km's on motor

No.2 cyl is consistently low, and since you do say you see oil on the plug, it sounds like a pretty definate case of rings that are going bad. i've also heard the term leak down thrown around alot, and as far as i know, its done by a machine shop( not needing machining work done, but they are the ones to do it) to see how much fluid will actually leak down through the block past the rings. i think more than price, the worst part is having to take the engine out. If its burning very badly, and your compression is low, no matter if its on one cylinder or all of them, you may just want to skip the leak down test and go for a rebuild kit. (600 or so from summit, but that is a package deal, you dont need to get all what they offer)
