hi,thanks for your time. my '84 Tr5ans Am has a remanufactured longblock from NECO engines (woburn,MA) I think they did a great job swapping the engine, but it still sucks. my 700r4 is beat,I'm well aware of that,I'm looking into a richmond 6 speed swap or just a new TCI street/strip 700r4,I've replaced the HEI coil, module, pickup, knock sensor, wires. the only after market mods are Headmen headers with a Borla cat back, and a K&N with factory cold air induction with air silencer delete. I have the feeling that it is a computer malfuntnction, crossfire,or the Q-jet that is not letting this engine run at it's full potential. does anyone here deal with this kind of setup? I know it's not a powerhouse as far as F-bodies go,but I know it has some dogballs potential. any input apreciated. thanks.

'84 Trans Am,305 HO (2500 miles),700r4 (beat),3.73 l.s.,headman 1 5/8" tube headers,borla 3" cat back (waste of money),IROC Z 16" rims,future mods: 100% suspension upgrade lowered 1.5",jet chip,700r4 or richmond 6spd. street tranny w/ cooler,window tint (free,thanks to "the edge" & "ocean audio" va,beach)and my crazy roommate,tweak the gas and spark somehow....! paint if I get arouynd to it...
