I have Accel 8.8 300+ racing wires on my car and I like them. I also have the stock manifolds. I've found that there has been many people here who have complained about their Accel wires cracking although I haven't experienced it. Yet most people have went to MSD and I've heard no complaints only recommendations on the MSD wires so they must be really good. I bought my wires for about $65.00 and I think the MSD's run in the same price range. Hope this helps.

I owuldn't run the high dollars Accel wires unless they were free (and i did get some 8.8s free on time, hehehe) for the same reason i wouldn't waste my money on any high dollar wires. I had to twist my own arm to get the spiral core instead of standard super stock wires last time. Spiral cores go around $40 vs. $23 for the super stock. You're not gonna see any real gain from either but the spiral cores look nicer (shiny jacket )
As for plugs, i'm running R43TS's, my favorite plug for an engine that sees a lot of 'hot' use, high speeds, highway and WOT.
But why are you dropping it off for a plug wire change is the bigger question. The money you're wasting onthe mechanic could go to real mods. And if you can't handle a plug change i don't think you can handle real mods anyway, so who cares what plugs/wires you run?

Ed's pretty smart and I would at least listen to what he says. He's been very helpful to me. After all you posted this for a response. He gave you one.
