My '92 RS only has 48,000 miles, but it sat for the better part of 5 years undriven and some things have gotten rusty. I'm just about done with a complete 350TPI swap and I need a clean gas tank. Should I have the old one cleaned out or buy a new one for about $275? If you say clean it, where can I get it done?
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm also getting a new Walbro intank pump if that matters.

you can have it cleaned at a radiator shop for 20 dollars or so.

While you are at it, clean the fuel line too. Checking with pressurized air works for this. Clean from the front back though, the few I have come across that are clogged were always clogged near the tank.
