compatibility questions, please help

I've asked this question in the tpi boards and I think I may have more luck here so here goes. I have a serious problem on my hands and would like to know where to go from here. I currently have a 1991 Trans Am 350 TBI (350 pulled from cop car). I was in the middle of a tpi swap and got stuck. I have a complete MAF setup from a 1988 Camaro. Apparently, there are two connections on my transmission, the back one is for the VSS. However, the wiring harness I have only has one connection. There is no VSS connection there. I've read the camaros used cable driven speedos up until 90? Is this wiring harness junk now? I've been on the lookout for a speed density harness and ecm now, but I'd much rather use what I have then purchase new stuff. Can I do that? What about using a dakota box? I don't know how those things work but what can I do? If I can only go with the speed density, can I modify my plenum, runners, and intake to work with the speed density system? Please help! This is my daily driver so I'm stuck halfway through. Thanks.

Pat

Yeah, the firebirds were given electric speedos after 87 but the camaros weren't until after 90. Also, I've heard that the electric speedo was different between 87-89 and 90-92.
