What's the difference between these distributors?
There are HEI distributors with red and yellow coil wires, and ones with red and white wires. What is difference between these two. Is one the computer controlled one on my 82 and one a non-computer controlled one or what?

Just the stock HEI distributor with an in cap coil. When you go to order a coil it asks if you have the red and yellow or red and white coil leads. I wanted to know what the difference is between a disributor with the white wire vs one with the yellow wire.

I think it's just how the windings are used in the coil. I believe red and yellow are used for chev and red and white are the rest of the GM cars (old, pontiac engines etc).
