She finally started
She finally started
Not sure where else to post this, so if it need moved, by all means. Some of you may have seen me post some questions here and there bout my motor. Well for the last 8 or 9 months I have been piecing it together. Lastnight she came alive for the first time. No codes, no missing, no leaks. I can't even say what if feels like. This is my first motor from the ground up. And man does she sound mean! I can't wait to get a race. She has bout 80 miles on her right now. I sort of got into the throttle a bit to see what she did. One word...wow. I don't know what she's gonna run, but she damn sure ain't gonna stick. Crete here I come! See sig for engine details.

Greatest feeling in the world isnt it? And the hardest feeling in the world is keeping out of the throttle. After all...it's so easy to move your foot an extra inch or two.
I felt the same way when I got my motor done man. I was supposed to take it easy for 500 miles....I think I opened it up at about 150 miles.
But it's proven that I can beat the holy hell out of it and it won't act up, so hey..... Works for me.
Can't wait to see some times man.. That rear end...even though it'll hold you back, it's gonna help you plant the rears a little better. Just get some sticky tires....some drag radials as a minimum. That 60' time is sooo hard to get right on a street tire, especially when you're talking a 350 with all that torque. I can't break the 2.2 barrier on street tires.

I don't suspect it's gonna stick, but we'll see. I can't wait to run it Friday night. I've never seen your name before though. Funny how you see new people everyday.
