need recom on good heads for 305

A friend of mine has an '88 305 TBI T5 Camaro. He is buying the complete TPI system from another guy including plenum, runners, intake manifold, MAF, computer, wiring harness, TB, Basically everything on top of the heads and block.

He also intends to buy a Comp Cams camshaft.
He already has the exhaust upgraded with headers and cat-back stuff.

What heads are available in the aftermarket that are aluminum?

Or even cast iron? (I have the World Products catalog, the SR Torque for 305 with 58cc chambers looks like a good choice).

Any opinions would be appreciated.
TIA

The only heads I know of that will work okay on a 305 is the aluminum L98 vette heads that have small 57cc chambers. All regular 350 aluminum heads would not work right on a 350 and might even get some valve to cylinder wall interference.

What advantage do the corvette heads give when you use them on a 305? I've been thinking about that swap but don't know what sort of power increase I will see, if any??

Rob,

Corvette aluminum heads and a Crane 2032 cam resulted in a 0.8 second decrease in N/A form on my 305. With my old Paxton supercharger, my boost decreased from 10.5 psig down to 6 psig, which means less restriction and MORE FLOW!!!

edelbrock performer heads are great aluminum heads but they do not accept over a 450 lift and are expensive
