Your gonna need headers, a high flow cat, 1.6 roller rockers(to give your cam a little more lift), and at least 3.42 gears to take a stock 5.0. Good Luck.

Probably you'd end up with a HP loss from just changing the runners by themselves. You'd need to change the intake base and port the heads to get much out of that.
It's not real easy to take a stock 305 TPI motor in a 3400 lb car and run it against the brand F motor with its better designed FI manifold in a 3100 lb car. No magic bullet to fix the list of odds that are stacked against you. It's not like there's one simple little thing the factory just screwed completely up that's holding it back that you can just reach in and tweek.
Another thing you can do is work on traction since a stock Mousetank will spin the tires alot and not go anywhere, so you have the opportunity to lay a serious 60' spanking on one; and work on driver technique. And, once you get the traction issue dialed in, a torque converter can make an ENORMOUS difference to your leave.
Raw HP numbers by themselves won't tell you who's going to win the race.
