car not idling!! step in and help
i jsut finished my swap to a 350 carbed and i cant get it to idle. everytime i start it, it fires right up and then shuts off in about 10 seconds. and thats when i pour gas in the carberater. should i tune it? regulater is feeding gas at 5.5 . is that enough? also if i tune it can someone give me directions on how to tune it or which way i turn the idle screw and how much?

If you have fuel going to the carb. There is a little screw on the side that you have to adjust to position the throttle cable at the correct spot.

is the carb you are having troubles with the 600 cfm Edelbrock mentioned in your sig?
If so, is it the electric choke model or the manual choke model?
There are 2 screws on the front of the carbs main body. These control the idle mixture. Try fiddling with these. Also, you may want to adjust the float levels if the front screws dont solve it and the choke is fully functional.
And yes, bad gas
may be part of the problem.
