What is this?

Hey guys..I want to remove my passanger valve cover to change the gasket but this is in the way. I need to remove it. What is it and is there any danger it taking it off and then puting it back on?

It's the EGR valve. You can safely remove the two bolts holding it onto the manifold and take it off. Make sure you put all the gaskets back on the right way when you remount it though!

And don't run the car with it off

You just need a Block off plate!!

Not joking depend what your gasket look like...if its half on the intake and half on the egr than put a new one...but if its all in 1 pieces its good...but...the best is to buy a new one for...approximatly 5 bucks!!
