new fram air filter (AIRHOG) ?s

well i saw the new fram airhog reusable air filter at autozone. its about 15.00/20.00 less than k&n plus 10.00 for the cleaning and spray solution. has anyone tried one of these yet. they advetise a little mor flow than "other " leading reuseable brands.. i would assume they are talking about the k&n//

I work at checker auto. We sell them there as well. I wont buy one. I'll stick with what I know works, a K&N.

I won't use a K&N. No better than a paper filter with regard to what it catches. Sure, more air flow and will hold more of what it catches than a paper, but that doesn't make it the best choice amoung what's available.

Air Hog is a "me-too" attempt to get part of the K&N market.

I've seen these new Frams. Like Fram's oil filters, these AirHawgs are kind of cheapos. You can see light through holes in the THIN filter media. IMO the best of the reusable filters are the S&B.
