Bulkhead Connector ID...Trickster?

Hello,

I was at the junkyard today, and scrounging for a wiring harness from bulkhead connector->outward. I have an 86 TA, but all FI stuff ripped out, so no powertrain/ECM/wiring.

Anyways, found a harness inside of a Firebird, looked to be around an 83-84 or so. It had already been taken out of the engine compartment, but whoever took the engine took their time, and didn't chop any wires, so it is basically as complete as it can be, and I scored it for only $5. One more thing, I'm only looking to put a cheap carb'd small block my TA, so this harness isn't a FI harness, didn't take a close look at the car since engine had been pulled, but I'm guessing a V6/carb'd V8 maybe.

I have a diagram of the C100 bulkhead connector from the 86 Wiring Diagrams page. However, my connector has a wiring running from G4 if I remember correctly, so I'm thinking it might be a different bulkhead connector? Did GM use the same C100 connector all the way through ThirdGen's, and if so, where could I find some sort of wiring diagram to perhaps ID where this harness came from, what wires run what, etc.

Thanks in advance,
-Dustin

Here is a little more info on the connector I have. I only purchased the Enging Harness half, I already had the Front Lights half of the bulkhead.

Here is a list of the wires running from this bulkhead connector, and what they are listed as on the 86 Wiring Diagram that I have:

A4-Power Distribution(Ignition Switch)
B5-Not Used
B6-Not Used
C5-Wiper/Washer
C6-Wiper/Washer
C7-Wiper/Washer
D5-Wiper/Washer
D6-Tach
E5-Engine Oil Pressure
E6-Choke Heater
F4-Power Dist.(CCC, EFI)
F5-MFI
F8-Charging System
G4-Not Used

If anybody can give me any leads on what year/engine this connector came from, and how I might go about using it for my small-block swap, I would greatly appreciate it.

Do you have some wire colors to go with the terminal locations?

Here is a diagram of the bulkhead connector from a 85 camaro for you to check.

Sorry I don't have the wire colors off-hand, it's late right now, but tomorrow I will take a look and document which wires of which color run to the bulkhead.

Thanks for the diagram, but I'm pretty sure this is exactly the same one that I have used already. If you take a look at what the connectors on your diagram are listed as, they are exactly the same as the descriptions that I matched up with the connectors that run from my bulkhead. I have wires running from B5, B6, and G4 that are all listed as "Not Used" on that C100 connector.

Since I'm sure this harness was not from an EFI car(no sensors), and probably not a V6 FI car, since I'm guessing it would need some sensors as well, could it be from either a carb'd V6 or V8? I have quite a heavy gauge wire running from my "G4" terminal on the bulkhead that is listed as "Not Used", so if this gives it away at all, that would be awesome Anyways, thanks again.

One more thing, would you happen to have a wiring diagram of that bulkhead for an 82-84 car? I'm just thinking that since Fuel Injection was introduced in 1985, that the pre-85 connectors would match up with the harness that I have.

I just thought of this: In order to get this harness to work for putting a cheap carb'd small-block in this car, won't I have to modify it anyway to get it to match up to the wiring diagram that I have for an 86, since the car is an 86? Idiot me, I never even bothered to think of this before, only thinking that I needed to worry about what kind of car I got this harness from.
