Car: 1991 Camaro

Engine: 305 TBI

Transmission: t-5

Stupid ESC

I'm having a bit of trouble setting the base timing on my 91 305 TBI.

I get the car started, let the temp reach operating temp. Then when I unplug the esc the car dies within seconds. How am I supposed to set the base timing if the car dies before I get a chance?

You are going to have to have someone help you. have someone run the car and stay on the gas a bit. As soon as you unplug the EST turn the distributor counterclockwise to advance it. The car will run then and then you can set it from there.
