ZZ4 in '89 305 Iroc
Ok, here's the deal...
I now have the money to get a ZZ4 crate motor. My question is, what do I have to change if I do this. The current roc is a 5spd, so I figure that's one thing that will have to go... I'm trying to figure out how much more this is going to cost me.
All info helps,
Jay
Thanks in advance

Why ditch the tranny? That motor should work fine, if in doubt, change the cam.

The heads on the ZZ4 engine (same as the L98 Corvette) have a different bolt pattern than whats on your intake manifold. You should get an aftermarket intake anyway to let that engine breathe. I put ZZ4 heads and cam on my engine and it ran low 13's with 280 HP at the wheels.
