self aligning rockers
from what i have read self aligning rockers are for use with no guide plates, but i was wondering if u could use them with guide plates as well and if not why? thanks

Because you can only have one system trying to locate the rockers. The odds are very poor that 2 systems will agree exactly on where they want the rockers to sit; and they will fight each other. Something will bind, bend, wear fast, get forced out of its seat, or otherwise misbehave and destroy something.
