Well, the Miniram I and Miniram II are the same port size. The only difference in the two is that the MRII has a revised fuel injector opening design, and a couple more vacuum ports.

The Miniram III was built on the premise of adapting the GM "Fastburn" heads and the Miniram design.

Regular intake ports on standard heads, and the AFR 190's measure 1.23"x1.99".

The larger intake ports on some heads, like those on the AFR 195's measure 1.28"x2.09"

The MRIII was designed to work with the Fastburn heads, which have a larger top-to-bottom measurement which is .240" higher than a set of stock heads. (2.230" total height.)

I just bolted my MRII to my AFR 195's last night, so this post came just in time. I tried to use the Fel-pro #1205's which sport the larger intake runner opening of the AFR 195's, but my intake sat too far down on the heads due to the heads being milled down to 60cc. I had to buy the 1/8" (.125") thick Mr Gasket #106 to get everything lined up correctly. Stock gasket thickness is .060". Everything lines up perfectly now, and even though the MRII is SLIGHTLY smaller in port opening than the 195's, there shouldn't be any noticeable performance loss.

If I were you, I would call TPIS and get the exact port size of their MRIII. If you're going to get a Miniram, you might as well get one that's at least as big as your 195's port opening. The only downsize that I see with using the MRIII on the 195's is that you are going to have a HUGE top-to-bottom port size mismatch that you realy don't need, and it may very possibly cause airflow turbulence when the air bounces around to get past the smaller intake runner port of the 195's top and bottom edge. Also, the injector location on the MRIII is placed at a different angle for obvious reasons on the MRIII taller intake runners.

Its ok to have the head ports larger than the intake ports, because the air will flow into the heads and expand. But you dont want the intake larger, because the air will hit the edge of the heads and cause reversion, which kills power. You can always port the intake to match the heads or vice-versa.
