Ok, I'm having a bit of a problem with my car...but honestly I have no Idea what could be causing it. So I'm pleading to all third gen techie's HELP! It has to do with the Idle, etc. of the car. It runs like a DREAM until I romp on it. well, until I take it over 3 grand or so. After i get on it, leaving a light or at the track, I get a rolling Idle. Sometimes its not very bad, but sometimes my Idle will roll between 1500 and 500 RPM's. What could be triggering this after I put a good sized load on the motor? I can turn off the engine, and restart it a minute later and it will run fine until I romp on it again...could this be a potentially faulty ECM? or possibly a bad MAP Sensor? The Idle speed control is new. The car is a 92 TBI, with the Ultimate TBI Mods, Open Element, Smog Equip. Removed, March Pulley's, and low temp thermostat. HELP!!!!!!! What could this be from! It's really getting kinda annoying, and I don't want to just start replacing parts till its fixed!!!!!

 

First thing... check fuel filter.

 

As well as the ignition system. How is the tune on the car? Recently done? Done at all? Give us some info.

 

I recently gave it a tune-up, new plugs, wires, accell cap, rotor, and high-v coil, fuel filter, etc. so the car is in excelant condition as far as all that goes....
