0 compression

whats this mean my motor was rebuilt about 2 years ago and we just got around to putting it in. well I had spark, fuel, timing is correct. but no start so I put a compression tester on it and it says zero. all I checked was #1 and 2 cylinder then I got frustrated where do I go from here

Sometimes over looking the simple stuff can cause a lot of extra work. Verify that the compression tester is working correctly.

yeah damn if i didn't have that happen to me with a tester from sears. compression leaked off after it peaked. ended up buying one from snap on and got steady readings with it.

Like they mentioned make sure the rocker arms aren't to tight.

Remove all the spark plugs and remove the coil wire so the car will not start. Wire the throttle blades open.

Screw the compression tester into the spark plug hole. Crank the engine over for a few seconds. Record the reading and do that for the rest of the cylinders.
