power antenna dosnet shut off

power antenna dosnet shut off

my power antenna on my 86 irocz dosnet shut off. The motor just keeps going and the antenna dosent go down even with my car off and radio off it just keeps running. I dont know what to do the only thing i do is pull the acc fuse to shut if off. Now what should i do replace it, rip it out and shave it off.

Probably a snapped cable or cable end off the spool.

I had the same problem with my GTA. I just unplugged the relay thats under the dash (Behind the panel where the ecm is) while the antenna was up..The antenna is always up, but it's never a problem..

Just make sure not to take your car through one of those automatic car washes if you do that..
