Putting the thing back together...
Ok, so i'll be getting back my motor from the shop (as a short block). It will have my new cam, flat top pistons and all the good stuff.
I can get everyhting back on, but there are some issues I need help with, like the locations of all the sensors and what to hook them up to. Obvious ones I can figure out like the water temp, etc. Also need help with vaccum lines, etc. I'm not running anything that was in the car before. I ripped out EVERYHTING. All wiring, all cooling/heating, etc. Nothign left but head lights. Is there a diagram, or chart? I'll be running aftermarket headers and an edelbrock carb/manifold. Nothing stock except the block.
I also would like to know what you guys recommend for a distributor. I was looking at the following: http://www.performancedistributors.com/gmssdui.htm
Once again, thanks for the help. :hail:

That's a good distributor .... I knew Kelly (Davis) for many many years before he passed away, from as far back as when he was rebuilding them at the local Delco dealer, and twisting them up for racers on teh machine at the shop. He was probably the best distributor guy I ever met; and after he formed his own company and began making his own stuff instead of just repairing and tuning factory ones, he kept up producing a good product. His son I believe is still running it.
I highly recommend it.
