It's kind of hard to tell, but that is the diverter crap for the smog pump. I am looking to clean up my engine compartment when the new engine goes in and I am looking to mount this over here, over the battery tray.

I'm planning on running hose from the smog pump to the valves here; then running one hose from here to a check valve to my collector (to replace the eight lines running to my primaries); and running another hose from here to a check valve to my cat.

Heat shouldn't be an issue from the smog pump (if it is I'll go with silicon hosing) and I'm going to run some pipe from the cat to the check valve so that shouldn't be a problem either.

Am I missing anything or is there anything else I should take into consideration?

Nah, should be no problem whatsoever, i'm planning on doing the same thing myself eventually. I hate having anything in the way of working on my car.

I found a much better place for my diverter valve. Sitting on the bottom shelf in my garage, right next to the dusty AIR pump. Engine bay looks MUCH cleaner now!

Im with D on this one, just ditch it. Soon as you move it that far the smognazi's are gonna have a fit anyway.
