Power loss promblems?!
Ok i changed the air/smog pump on my car, got everything together and drove my car away, buuut its lacking power it used to have and these are the only things i can think could have done it
-my engine overheated to 260+ degrees causin ereperable damage
-my engine ran without a alternator for about a total of 3 mins and now i seem to be puttin out 8V all the time (on the edge of the yellow area)
-maybe my smog pump wasnt working before and now that it is its making the egr more useful making less power
idk, im worried, my power mirrors almost didnt go up due to no volts so im hopin that would mean that cut the power to the engine slightly. a new alternator isnt a biggie, but a unfixable problem from overheating is.

If your car overheated, i think your prioreties are a bit askew. Instead of trying to find out why you have a power loss, you should be trying to find out why the car overheated. Unless youve solved that, then you can move on.
The overheating could have blown a head gasket which would lower the cylinder pressure for one or more cylinders causing a loss of power. Compression/leak down test is called for.
