Code 54 after unplugged CTS

Okay, yesterday i unplugged my CTS, thinking that I could troubleshoot a bad CTS that way. (I have been informed now, that is not the case.) Well, when I tried to start the car, it flooded like a son-of-a-b****. So hook CTS back up and clear flood. Starts up fine.
Proceeded to remove my saggin headliner and adjust my door lock, and lube my power window tracks. I had the key on the whole time, but never really took notice of the little yellow SES light on the dash
So I go out today and throw the ole' paperclip in her, and get code 54. I tried to look it up, and came up with low voltage at fuel pump and/or relay (?)
Could this code have been set by not having the CTS plugged in while I was trying to start the car? Or should start trouble shooting for a bad relay/pump?

If your car flooded when unpluged your cts its probably working ok. When you unplug it the computer sees like -40 degrees so its gonna dump a ton of fuel to try and get it started at that "cold" temp. So id say your cts is probably ok.

Thanks guys. I've finally found my Chilton's book for the car (82-92), and went over the troubleshooting for code 54. I cleared the code, and it never came back. Fuel pump energizes for appxly 2 sec. with ign on, and I was able to energize it with the fuel pump tester plug too. So I think it was an intermittent fault. Hmmm, maybe a sign of things to come.
Do you think the stock 305TBI pump would be sufficent to supply the 350TBI? Or should I look into a new pump from say a 350TPI?
I'm currently not planning on any major changes to the car except what is listed in my sig. I am looking at an 86 T/A 305 TPI also. I don't know why, the GF already has a mini-van. LOL. I think I m might need me a garage...
